Position Summary:
The Assistant Superintendent works with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the golf course. The assistant superintendent is expected to observe conditions and take initiative to meet the standard. He or she should be comfortable speaking in front of large groups and can speak basic workplace Spanish. The Assistant Superintendent is expected to interact with members throughout the day, always carry himself or herself in a professional manner, and attend monthly Green Committee meetings. This person should have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, work well in a team environment, and be determined to succeed in the golf industry.

- Maintenance staff: 45-60 (off season to peak season)
- Equipment is a mix of John Deere and Toro.

- Typical work hours: 45–55 hours with regular scheduled time off in season.

Key responsibilities, skills, aptitude, and knowledge:
- This individual works closely with the superintendent to supervise, schedule, and train a large crew of full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees. Incorporate and enforce safe work practices. Provide safety training for employees as directed.
