What You Will Do

  • A team member at this level is expected to perform a wide variety of complex inspection procedures and related paperwork, lend expertise to resolving inspection process problems, set-up and operate equipment, provide shift leadership and hold all required certifications. This position is to be based in Columbus, GA. (onsite role) 
  • 1st shift
  • Conduct Ultrasonic inspection functions in an automated manufacturing environment.  
  • Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required.  
  • Work with Material Control Lab and manufacturing personnel to investigate problems encountered through inspection and determine their effect upon the part.  
  • Training and/or education in Quality processes or its equivalent, including on the job training in NDT inspection techniques.
  • Complete and pass classroom theory, OFT and certification examination as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications.  
  • Responsible for signing off product inspected.  
  • Re-certification required at interval specified by Pratt & Whitney qualifications.  
  • Perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues.   

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Two to five years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment.  
  • Programmer knowledge
  • Technical degree preferred 
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
