About the role

The Regional HR Business Partner (HRPB) is a seasoned HR professional responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of HR operations within the region. This role provides leadership to HR Generalists, Payroll Specialists, and other HR team members, ensuring excellence in service delivery and alignment with organizational goals. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, compliance, and strategic planning across payroll, benefits, training, employee relations, performance management, and special projects, particularly related to mergers and acquisitions. The Regional HRBP plays a key role in shaping and executing HR strategies that support business objectives and cultivate a high-performance culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the regional HR function, including oversight of the regional HR resources (i.e. HR Generalist(s), Payroll Specialist(s), and other HR team members)
  • Serve as a key advisor to regional leadership on HR-related issues, ensuring alignment with business strategy and legal compliance.
  • Responsible for HR operations in the Region, including payroll, time management, benefits administration, leave administration, training programs, and performance management
  • Consult with and provide guidance to managers on employee relations and performance issues and ensure consistent and compliant performance management and discipline processes
  • Addresses employee concerns, conflicts, and complaints in a fair and compassionate manner
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture by consistently applying HR policies and best practices; educate managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, as needed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in payroll and HRIS systems, supporting implementation and optimization projects.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide data-driven insights and reports to business leaders
  • Applies federal and state employment law expertise to ensure compliance.
  • Assists in the development of the HR function’s organizational structure, strategic plans, and tactical initiatives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR-related projects and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive organizational effectiveness and enhance employee engagement.
  • All other duties assigned.

 Supervisory Responsibility: Manage Regional HR team members.

 Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and at least 10 years in progressive HR leadership positions or a bachelor’s degree in a human resources or business-related field and at least 5 years in progressive HR leadership positions
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing direct reports.
  • At least two years of experience using an HRIS as an administrator.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, and employment law
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational management, or business with an emphasis in HR
  • More than 3 years of experience managing direct reports
  • Experience with UKG Pro & Workforce Management
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience with Affirmative Action Plans
  • Experience with certified and prevailing wage payroll
