Summary of Job Duties:
This teaching position will be at the Juvenile Correctional Facility in Pine Bluff. Must hold a current Ar teaching license.Responsibilities: This individual is responsible for instructing classes, developing lesson plans and other instructional material, assisting with coordinating classes, maintaining student records, performing involved office duties requiring critical thinking skills and independent judgment, provide assistance to centers lead teachers.
The Workforce Ed Instructor is responsible for all aspects of the Adult Education program. Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Schedule all students for the TABE test.
· Monitor student’s attendance and advise teachers on when students should post-test.
· Schedule all TABE test for students.
· Administer all TABE test for students.
· Schedule all GED ready test for students.
· Administer all GED ready test for students.
· Schedule all GED test.
· Performing all student intakes.
· Adding new students to DRC.
· Producing reports from DRC.
· Creating and maintaining student files.
· Entering data accurately into LACES.
· Regular work attendance is a must!
· Attend all mandated state meetings.
· Conduct faculty & staff professional development.
Qualifications:
Qualifications: The formal education equivalent to an associate’s degree with intentions of getting Bachelor’s within two years. Preferred qualification of bilingual (Spanish and English). Salary: Commensurate with education and experience including excellent fringe benefits. (Contingent upon availability of funds)
