THE JOB:
Do you thrive in fast-paced, live entertainment environments and love bringing unforgettable experiences to life? MGM Resorts International is looking for a Senior Manager of Entertainment Production to lead and oversee the technical and back-of-house operations at Excalibur to support our world-class performances, events, and activations. This is more than a production job — it’s an opportunity to be a key player behind the scenes of some of the most legendary shows on the Strip.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Lead the technical production operations for theaters, showrooms, and non-ticketed entertainment events.
Oversee scheduling, staffing, equipment procurement, and show operations with a sharp focus on safety, efficiency, and guest experience.
Partner closely with show talent, producers, and vendors — from artists to Cirque du Soleil — to maintain smooth backstage operations.
Manage production elements for live entertainment and special events, including band setups, promotional activations, and casino tournaments.
Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing production team, creating a culture of engagement and excellence.
Collaborate with property-based special events teams and corporate entertainment leaders to bring big-picture visions to life.
Ensure operations remain within financial and staffing budgets while upholding the highest standards of theatrical safety and technical performance.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of prior relevant experience
2+ years experience as an entertainment production or technical manager.
Deep understanding of theatrical/production safety protocols and standards.
Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in live event settings.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal.
Ability to lead teams in a unionized environment is a plus.
Technical certifications and prior experience in a resort setting preferred.
