About the Job:

We are seeking a Managing Director to join our New Ventures team, based out of Redesign Health’s India headquarters in Bengaluru. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business innovation and operational excellence, who is eager to help identify and build market-defining healthcare companies worldwide. As part of this unique opportunity, you will be instrumental in developing seed-stage startup ideas and working closely with founding teams.

You will spearhead the research, prototyping, and launch of new Portfolio Companies in the healthcare space. This role will report to a Managing Director on the New Ventures team based in the U.S.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days/week from our Bengaluru office and working hours include a 5 hours/day overlap with Eastern Standard Time.

What You Will Do:

  • Explore and analyze U.S. and global healthcare markets ripe for innovation.

  • Conduct thematic research and quantitative analysis to identify opportunities for new company creation; refine initial ideas into high-conviction investable concepts.

  • Lead creation of investment memos to support funding decisions in collaboration with New Ventures leadership.

  • Work cross-functionally with Redesign’s Ventures, Talent, Strategy & Finance, Global Development, and Product & Technology teams to orchestrate ideation efforts.

  • Advise existing portfolio companies and founding teams on strategic direction and operational execution.

  • Identify opportunities to efficiently leverage AI in Redesign’s operational approach.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred, with a record of high academic achievement

  • 12+ years of combined experience within investment banking, venture capital, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting

  • Prior healthcare experience required

  • Fluency in business model analysis, primary/secondary research, investment thesis development, and financial modeling

  • Experience leading work with minimal oversight and with strong attention to detail

  • Interest in researching, implementing, and leveraging AI and other emerging technologies, both professionally and personally
