POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Deposit Operations Specialist II is responsible for handling and processing complex issues and tasks within ACH, Research, Deposit Services, & Deposit Accounts/Products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1+ years of deposit operations experience required.
• Demonstrated proficient computer skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process research requests such as account/product/statement maintenance requests, verification of deposits, accounting returns, and non-conforming images.
• Utilize programs and reports to ensure proper posting of items. Process detailed Fed adjustment requests.
• Process and review IRA/HSA documents.
• Resolve unposted transactions.
• Process chargebacks, return items, and incoming returned items.
• Process and monitor rewards programs.
• Determine and function appropriate account and general ledger entries.
• Handle telephone requests requiring superior operations knowledge.
• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
• Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
• Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required.
• Occasional out-of-town- travel is required.
• Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends, and overtime.
• Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
