Demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives in support of Gas Turbine Combustion Repair. Integrates and develops Combustion Repair processes that meet business needs across the organization. Involved in long-term planning. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within Combustion Component Repair.Job Description
- Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long range product and process plans for Combustion repairs supporting the repair value steam network
- Provide technical consultation on the repair of all HA-Class, F-Class, B/E-Class and Annular Combustion hardware throughout the repair value stream business including external suppliers where appropriate
- Assist team with Technical rigor to develop safe, high quality products while being actively Engaged during the repair development process
- Lead and provide the key technical direction to large projects with critical business impact.
- Maintain an active role in developing and defining the state of the art Combustion repairs in order to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution in meeting current and future business needs including adherence to schedules and estimated costs.
- Exercise Curiosity by striving for improved products & processes to support customers
- Actively engage in the mentorship and technical development of global team of Combustion engineers across all repair value stream shops and engineering centers.
- Work directly with Repair Engineering leadership team to identify gaps and create new standard work around training, development, and daily management for repair engineering organization.
- Prepare invention disclosures to protect technology that gives the business a competitive advantage, as well as protecting the intellectual property rights of the company.
- Be a Helpful resource to all levels of AMRT team and encourage dialogue between all groups to breakdown silos and improve team communication
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Significant experience in a Combustion repair and/or design
- Significant experience working as a technical leader in gas turbine combustion repair or design

- Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business
- Problem analysis and resolution skills
- Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in Combustion design or repair along with the ability to teach and set standard practices within Combustion design/repair/mfg.
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $131,700.00 - 175,500.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a performance bonus.
