Job Description
SSGM Collateral Operations is responsible for ensuring that each portfolio is as fully collateralized as possible and all related margining activities are being completed in a timely and accurate manner. This role is responsible for supporting teams globally, ensuring regulatory margin compliance, regulatory reporting and portfolio reconciliations. The incumbent will play a key role on the State Street Global Markets FX collateral team. The team is responsible for ensuring complete daily margining for all FX trading activity, primarily to satisfy regulatory requirements. This includes direct involvement in the margin call process as well as the expertise to help oversee multiple offshore teams across several different locations. This team member will also be asked to play a role in projects of varying complexity and execute on those projects in collaboration with team members in Boston as well as regional hubs.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure all controls are followed in daily processes to mitigate risk
- Manage end-to-end regulatory Initial Margin process
- Assist with collateral management, including inventory management and re-hypothecation
- Oversee cash and security settlements, including new security types
- Troubleshoot and resolve client issues
- Review disputes and reconciliations, produce reporting
- Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Credit, Trading, and Operations globally
- Participate in projects as requested and delivery on all project deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5+ years of relevant experience required.
- This position requires excellent communication skills and an ability to work independently as well as a member of a global team.
- Applicants should have strong technical skills, be a quick learner, be detail oriented and be able to multitask.
- Required critical knowledge and experience include foreign exchange, collateral management, regulatory IM/VM, OTC derivatives, futures and transaction execution/settlement.
- Technical experience with the following systems would be valuable: Cloud Margin, ProtoColl, Acadiasoft Margin Manager, IM Exposure Manager, JP Morgan, BNY and Euroclear custodian portals, TriResolve, InTrader, IBS, STS, SMAC and GSMAC (Fed, DTC, Euro clear, Crest and Clear stream), MS Excel and Access, SQL Server, VBA
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $90,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
