Job Description
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Support the Facility Manager with contractor management responsibilities, to include daily reviews of maintenance works, planning and implementation of service contracts for interval maintenance of critical facilities systems, and interfacing with contractors to ensure they adhere to site requirements and performance expectations.
- Assist in development and implementation of maintenance plans for continued operations of the production environment critical systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, humidification, and general site functions.
- Assist in development of annual facilities capital spending plans by developing a list and cost estimate of critical facility system replacements and enhancements, as needed due to aging of equipment and/or changing needs of the New Braunfels manufacturing environment.
- Support training and development of existing facilities staff related to ongoing equipment requirement to ensure that all of plant manufacturing requirements are met.
- Support the 5S initiative within the facilities staff by instructing on what is and is not proper 5S culture and behavior.
- Work on continuous improvements with the existing supplier base of facilities outside services to insure the "best" price possible with a 100% safe work environment for both the suppliers and our employees.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $73,500 - $97,000 a year depending on experience. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- BS in Engineering
- Knowledge of critical building systems within a high volume manufacturing environment
- Ability to write well, communicate effectively, and interface well with administration, maintenance, and occupant personnel.
- High level of competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint programs required.
- High degree of problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication skills (at multiple management levels within an organization)
- Ability to function under high stress and make decisions
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- High degree of integrity and discretion.
- Experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.
- Experience and competency with systems and controls, particularly PLC based systems.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT:
- BS in electrical or mechanical engineering
- 2 years specific experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Possess competency in working with Computerized Maintenance Management systems.
