Job Description

As a Senior Systems Analyst at Fandango and NBC Sports Next, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, supporting, and implementing solutions to support the company's technology products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, assess system capabilities, and propose effective solutions. You are comfortable diving into complexity across a wide variety of use cases, including database queries, workflows, and environments. You are very technical, and love to learn. Your expertise in systems analysis, process improvement, and technology support and implementation will contribute to the success of the company’s business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for on-going production support (both internal and external) for Fandango and NBC Sports Next’s systems and platforms
• Manage projects from inception through completion, coordinating with engineering, QA, product managers, teams.
• Provide clear communication to requesting parties on the status and resolution of their requests
• Evaluate business problems and revised operational procedures to identify potential enhancements to assigned systems to meet changing business requirements using technical expertise
• Perform UAT/quality testing of changes as needed across all Fandango systems and platforms
• Serve as a technical liaison as needed between the business users and engineering teams for support and operational issues
• Conduct necessary training of end-users
• Prepare necessary documents to support clients in understanding data, work flows, procedures, processes, scope and objectives
• Craft and develop ad hoc SQL queries and scripts to provide information, support info or tools relative to client requests
• Evaluate and conduct root cause analysis of production operational issues as needed

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications required are as follows:

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in a comparable role
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts
• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and integration techniques
• Proficiency in analyzing complex business processes and translating them into system requirements
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent writing and documentation skills
• Experience in a collaborative, team-driven engineering environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Team player with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
