About the role

Building on Oracle’s cloud momentum, we’ve launched a brand-new organization—Oracle Health —dedicated to reimagining healthcare technology. Our mission is to design and deliver a modern, automated platform that empowers providers, improves patient outcomes, and sets the standard for innovation in healthcare. This is a net-new line of business, built with an entrepreneurial spirit and the freedom to create something world-class from the ground up.

We’re seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering—a hands-on technology leader who thrives on solving complex challenges in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and highly available services. In this role, you’ll lead talented teams to design, build, and operate mission-critical solutions within a Managed Services environment, managing workloads that healthcare providers depend on every day.

You’ll succeed here if you’re:

A systems generalist who brings both depth and versatility across distributed systems, networking, and reliability.

A people leader who can inspire, mentor, and grow high-performing teams while driving technical excellence.

A strategic thinker with the operational know-how to influence executive decision-making and shape policies that define how we deliver for customers.

An entrepreneur at heart, energized by fast-paced, high-stakes environments where your ideas directly shape the future.

This role offers the chance to set the vision, build the foundation, and lead teams that will transform healthcare through technology. If you’re ready to apply your skills, passion, and leadership to one of the most impactful challenges of our time, we’d love to have you on the journey.

We’re looking for a Manager of Software Engineering who thrives at the intersection of technology, leadership, and innovation. In this role, you’ll bring your expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud technologies to lead engineering teams building and operating mission-critical healthcare solutions. You won’t just manage tasks—you’ll set strategy, guide execution, and inspire teams to deliver world-class, reliable, and scalable products.

This is more than an engineering management role. It’s an opportunity to:

Set Vision & Strategy – Define technology roadmaps, influence key decision points, and drive operational excellence across large-scale, highly available systems.

Lead High-Impact Teams – Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing engineers while cultivating a collaborative, customer-obsessed culture.

Operate at Scale – Oversee 24/7 operations for systems that handle massive data workloads, ensuring performance, security, and resilience.

Drive Innovation – Partner with cross-functional teams (Ops, Support, Product, Engineering) to design solutions, automate workflows, and deliver customer-centric innovation safely.

Make an Impact – Develop frameworks, tools, and dashboards that empower teams and transform how healthcare is delivered through technology.

What You’ll Bring

10+ years developing software, including 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams.

Proven success leading complex, large-scale, distributed systems in mission-critical environments.

Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, databases, NoSQL systems, and cloud infrastructure.

Experience with big data applications, analytics, and multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure.

Strong technical presence—comfortable presenting forward-looking strategies to executives and aligning diverse stakeholders.

A can-do leader who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and drives continuous improvement with measurable results.

If you’re energized by tough technical challenges, inspired by building high-performing teams, and motivated to create solutions that truly matter, this role is your chance to make a real-world impact at massive scale.
