Housekeeper I - Glen Eyrie

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Housekeeper I shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

This position aims to deliver an organized, clean, and distraction-free environment to everyone on the Glen Eyrie through maintaining professional cleaning standards in guest rooms and public areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts daily cleaning in guest rooms, including: removing all soiled linens and towels, sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing amenities, removing waste, dusting surfaces, and vacuuming carpeted areas—70%
• Cleans public lobbies, lounges, hallways, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas—5%
• In deep cleaning periods: Wash windows, walls, ceilings, appliances, and polish woodwork as necessary with proper materials—10%
• Cleans and replenishes amenities in meeting rooms—5%
• Responds to any immediate guest needs as the day progresses—5%
• Other duties as assigned by department leadership—5%

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Locate and report areas in need of repair or attention—2%
• Participates in daily devotions, department meetings, Glen Eyrie-wide gatherings, and training seminars—3%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
• Must be able to maintain continuous manual labor, such as: kneeling, bending over, and lifting for extended periods of time (at least 30 lbs).
• Preferably has at least 3 months of customer service experience and 3 months experience with professional cleaning or janitorial tasks.

Compensation Range: $15.75-$16.25/hour
