LaSalle Americas has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President on our Investor Relations team.   The successful candidate will be responsible for capital raising and capital formation efforts, assist in developing strategies to secure investment capital, and manage relationships with institutional investors, family offices, ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and other equity sources. Focusing on debt, core, core+, opportunistic and value-add investment strategies, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the firm’s capital markets initiatives while gaining valuable experience in the real estate investment space. This role requires familiarity with the real estate investment landscape, strong commercial acumen, and communication of sophisticated investment strategies to senior-level executives. A Vice President level Relationship Manager would have significant market knowledge and the ability to manage high touch investor & fund capital raise and strategy with minimal guidance and oversight. The position can be based in Chicago or New York, and travel is expected to be a few days a week on average.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Capital Raising and Relationship Management: 

  • Raise capital from institutional investors for LaSalle’s core, core+, opportunistic, value-add, and debt funds. 
  • Manage assigned relationships and develop new relationships with potential investors including endowments, foundations, insurance companies, family offices, etc.  
  • Learn about and understand investors’ needs and objectives and propose meaningful solutions so they can meet their investment goals. 
  • Coordinate with internal staff to identify appropriate products for each investor and track investor specific deal pipeline. 
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key strategic partners, such as industry leaders, in addition to the institutional investors. 
  • Research and pipeline additional capital sources, including UHNWIs, family offices, and other untapped institutional investors. 
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of LaSalle’s product offerings, systems, and processes to support and service prospects and existing client relationships. 
  • Monitor market trends, investor sentiment and peer performance to provide market insights to senior leadership in order to identify opportunities and adapt existing investment strategies. 
  • Be a partner to the firm’s leadership, investment professionals, marketing team, legal, etc. to create a seamless, high touch experience for investors. 

Marketing, Branding and Investor Relations: 

  • Contribute to the firm’s marketing efforts to enhance the firm’s visibility in the market. 
  • Help prepare senior leadership for investor-facing events, ensuring readiness and confidence in market engagements. 
  • Provide expertise to the Marketing and RFP teams to improve the content and messaging within marketing materials, RFPs/RFIs, confidential information memoranda, and investor presentations. 
  • Assist the marketing team as they promote the company’s brand through their website content, press releases, and other outreach efforts. 
  • Travel to conferences, investor capital-raise meetings, grand openings, and other investor specific events. 
  • Support broader corporate initiatives—such as M&A, capital planning, or ESG communications—that impact investor perceptions. 
  • Help develop business plans and monitor performance.

KEY ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE

  • BA or BS degree; MBA preferred 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of real estate, finance, or a related field, with exposure to capital raising and investor relations. 
  • Skills: Strong communication, financial analysis, and organizational skills; proficiency in creating effective pitches and presentations. 
  • Relationships: Interest in building connections within the investor community, including family offices, insurance companies and other institutional investors. [Existing relationships are valued.
