Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary:
The Paint Process Manager will oversee and optimize paint process operations, automation, and control systems to ensure high-quality, efficient, and innovative paint applications across manufacturing facilities. This role supports large-scale Factory of the Future transformations, focusing on process development, automation integration, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in paint processing, robotics, controls, and manufacturing management, with a focus on advancing technological capabilities and operational excellence.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, implementation, and verification of paint process parameters, ensuring compliance with customer quality standards and control plans.
• Support process and maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and optimizing paint application equipment and automation systems.
• Develop and maintain operating parameters for new and existing products, including robotic and automated systems, to maximize transfer efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and robotics teams to troubleshoot, modify, and improve control systems and automation technologies.
• Manage equipment selection, installation, and commissioning, including automation hardware, robotics, sensors, and control systems.
• Lead benchmarking activities related to manufacturing KPIs such as throughput, paint yields, cycle time, equipment uptime, and material consumption.
• Collaborate with paint suppliers and equipment vendors to optimize formultions, application performance, and system integration.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including development of FMEAs, control plans, and TS16949 documentation.
• Lead or support new facility and equipment installations, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
• Develop internal processes to ensure quality, safety, and compliance, including participation in audits and certifications such as ISO and CE.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to production teams, robotics engineers, and maintenance personnel.
• Explore and implement new technologies and automation solutions to enhance competitiveness and operational excellence.
• Support technical troubleshooting and process validation activities, including FATs and on-site buyoffs.
• Prepare and present management reports on process capability, trend analysis, and project status.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field; or 7 years of equivalent experience in paint processing and robotics technologies.
• Minimum 7 years of management-level experience in manufacturing, with a f cus on paint automation, robotics, and process control.
• Extensive knowledge of paint application systems, robotic integration, and automation controls.
• Proven track record in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and managing capital projects.
• Experience with control systems, PLCs, robotics, sensors, and automation hardware/software.
• Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
