Center Store Sales Representative

Reports to Center Store Sales Manager

Position Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for increasing center store sales through proper shelve management in our Associated Wholesale Grocers members stores. Every activity will be directed at attaining the goals and objectives of the member stores in the assigned territory. This position is located in Columbia, MO area 

Position Responsibilities:

• Selling members on new items, filling voids with proper shelf placement of all items within Associated Wholesale Grocers Center Store portfolio.

• Execute category shelve work via planogram.

• New member tagging and resets. 

• Work with brokers and vendors to accomplish store resets, new stores, remodels, new equipment and shelving.

• Responsible for sales number within the assigned territory.

• Assist in member training of all Associated Wholesale center store retail programs. 

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree Preferred/High School Graduate 

• 5 years in the Grocery Industry

• Strong Business Knowledge in grocery, health, beauty, natural, organic, and specialty foods a plus.

• Self-motivated, able to accomplish established goals with minimal supervision

• Highly adaptable and able to manage various tasks while meeting multiple deadlines.

• Fact based decisions skills on item placement with supported sales data

• Attention to detail and time management skills.

• Effective relationship building skills to create and grow professional relationships with AWG members

• Team focused

• Strong customer service skills

• Strong communication verbal and written

• Strong merchandising skills

• Ability to use screwdriver, hammer, power drill, saw etc.

• Valid driver’s license- daily travel and overnights required

• Able to lift 40 lbs. or more- Bending, standing, and sitting for long periods of time

• Proficient with Power Point, Excel, and Word
