Job Description
Our award-winning AECOM Sports and Venues practice is seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager for immediate employment based in either of our three offices, located in Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY. The candidate is to lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on Sports, and Public Assembly, including professional and collegiate arenas, stadia and coliseums, recreation centers.
Our Sports practice is an established leader in the market with over three decades of success. This studio sized practice focuses its work on everything from performance and development facilities to primary competition venues, ranging anywhere from small collegiate clients to the largest of professional leagues and franchises. Job Summary/Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Responsible for planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure a successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction
- Engaging with both Team leaders, Client Contacts, and Partner firms
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts and preparing fee proposals
- Managing and leading teams and staff
- Successfully developing strategy, mitigation efforts, proposals, contract review, and leading project teams to execute projects
- Managing and supporting all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools
- Support business development efforts as required to engage new client opportunities
- Managing teams across business lines
- Managing subconsultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance
- Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
- Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner
- Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
- Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Reporting and escalating to management as needed
- Managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Performing risk management to minimize project risks
- Maintaining project documentation control
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program
