Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst in Boston, MA:

 

Responsible for supporting Oxfam’s Finance Department on managing the Oxfam America (OUS)’s annual business planning and budgeting process and developing data-driven reporting and financial analysis for the business. Lead financial reporting efforts to Oxfam International (OI), including the annual CONSOL (Common Oxfam Norms, Standards & Objects in Ledgers) submission. Duties include: Responsible for the organization’s annual business planning and budgeting process; Develop data-driven reporting and analysis for the business; Implement the annual budget process, including refining and developing new tools, procedures, and systems; Run reports and queries and navigate the various functional screens, particularly in ORACLE Projects module; Analyze the budget and prepare Board financial reporting; Drive forecast process and partner with business managers in developing forecasts; Prepare headcount reporting and conduct analysis of personnel budgets, including performing Jobvite financial approvals; Develop next generation planning and reporting methods, integrating non-heterogeneous and non-financial data; Generate timely and accurate annual and periodic CONSOL-compliant reports to support decision-making by management; and, Represent FP&A products and services to managers and colleagues, responding to requests promptly, anticipating others’ needs, and collecting feedback for meaningful continuous improvement.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a closely related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in performing financial planning, data analysis, and reporting for a non-profit, policy or international organization.

 

Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:

 

  1. 5 years of experience analyzing financial data for budget management and planning;
  2. 5 years of experience in financial analysis for executive and management decision making;
  3. 5 years of experience preparing financial consolidation compliant reporting to all entities, supporting system-wide decision making and customer service across organizationally and geographically diverse operating units;
  4. 5 years of experience producing financial data products for management decision-making from large data sets and sources.
  5. 5 years of experience with finance and business intelligence systems for report development and distribution for management reporting.

Salary Range: $94,760 to $105,000.
