Sales Assistant/Cashier

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Assist & attend to customers, respond to queries, and provide relevant information.
• Address customer complaints in a service-oriented and timely manner Accurately process payment for goods purchased.
• Ensure cash is balanced and accounted for at the end of each shift. Merchandise store shelves in keeping with company standards.
• Cross-sell and introduce new products.
• Provide feedback to management regarding the movement of inventory.
• Provide feedback to management on customer feedback.
• Assist with the stock taking process. Support the team in achieving the company’s goals.

APPLICANTS REQUIREMENTS

• Five (5) CXC passes at General Level, including Mathematics & English Language
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Working knowledge of computer applications
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales will be an asset.
• Active role that requires bending, pulling, stretching, squatting, reaching, and standing for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
