As a Senior Accountant at Belle Tire, you'll play a key role in driving financial clarity and operational excellence across a fast-growing organization. What You'll Do
- Act as the primary liaison with Store Operations for inventory support--an ideal fit for someone who is personable, collaborative, and able to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Manage cycle counts and serve as the main contact for quarterly physical inventory, requiring initiative, ownership, and the ability to focus on what matters most.
- Analyze monthly inventory levels and shrinkage, reconcile perpetual inventory to the balance sheet, and maintain a rolling 12-month analysis--perfect for someone who is curious and eager to dig into the "why."
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, demonstrating accountability and disciplined time management.
- Complete and resolve balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze P&L statements related to assigned responsibilities, requiring strong analytical thinking and the ability to sense what will help or hinder achieving goals.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Provide support for the Finance Help Desk with a human, approachable communication style.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit, taking ownership of tasks through completion.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive automation--ideal for someone with vision and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects where flexibility and a positive attitude toward shifting priorities are essential.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5--8 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in SAP
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment while remaining adaptable and focused on what truly matters.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and accountability, as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification
- Experience in a retail-based company
