As a Senior Security Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of day-to-day Security Operations at Jetstar Asia, ensuring seamless coordination and regulatory compliance.

 

As part of the Jetstar Asia Security team, you will have the opportunity to ensure a safe and secure travel experience for our passengers.

 

Reporting to the Security Manager, your main accountabilities will include: 

 

1) Aviation Security Management

  • Maintain regular engagement with relevant security stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance of all international/national aviation security regulations and company standards.
  • Being responsible for the Security Risk Management including the identification of any risk and the analysis and assessment of strategic, military, terrorist and criminal threats
  • Management of Security Training Programme including the development and reviewing of training packages, and conducting trainings
  • Responsible for the management of Inadmissible Passengers, Deportees and Persons-in-Custody.
  • Managing the Security Quality Control Programme to ensure effectiveness and consistency of performance standards which includes:
    • conducting Security audits, inspections and tests on line stations and Security service providers, recommend improvements, and track implementation of corrective actions;
    • coordinating audits by regulatory authorities and external parties
  • Coordinate audits by regulatory authorities and external parties
  • Assist the Security Manager in ensuring the readiness of the Security emergency response planning and response arrangements
  • Assist the Security Manager to maintain and update the Security Management System (SeMS) periodically

 

2) Corporate Security Functions

  • Working with the Security Manager to drive the implementation of protective security and loss/crime prevention policies, standards and procedures.
  • Participate with the Security Manager in Investigations - matters of impropriety or other Security incidents involving Jetstar Asia operations, staff, assets and customers (and their property).
  • Management of office security systems (CCTV & Access Control) for Jetstar Asia offices & facilities.
  • Prepare monthly summary slides for Security Office for meetings’ presentation
  • To act as the designated delegate in the absence of Security Manager
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned

 

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification preferred or equivalent experience in similar fields
  • Aviation Security Management qualification preferred
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of all relevant industry regulations & governing bodies i.e. ICAO, IATA, CAAS, APD & Airport Authorities, including ICAO Annex 9 and Annex 17
  • Knowledge of aviation operations and protective security practices and technology
  • Knowledge of political/terrorist criminal affairs preferred
  • Analytical and thorough in the preparation of work materials
  • Proactive, meticulous, and conscientious to meet the timeline of the assignment
