About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage our company's comprehensive supply chain and logistics strategy. This role is critical in maximizing process efficiency and productivity by collaborating with various departments, implementing best practices, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. The position is full-time and reports directly to the Supply Chain Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply chain strategy: Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy that supports company goals and enhances efficiency across operations.
  • Process ownership: Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance supply chain activities and outcomes.
  • Demand forecasting and inventory management: Accurately forecast demand and manage inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing excess stock. Lead inventory management initiatives, optimizing stock levels and keep cost level adequate.
  • Purchasing and logistics management: Oversee purchasing, order processing, shipping, import-export activities, and repairs to support business operations. Ensure timely and cost-effective logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Compliance and risk management: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including managing audits and related documentation. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions, ensuring continuity and stability in supply chain operations.
  • Supplier and vendor relationship management: Develop strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms and ensure quality and delivery standards are met. Monitor supplier performance and address issues promptly to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
  • ERP system utilization: Utilize ERP systems to streamline supply chain processes, manage data, and enhance decision-making. Maintain accurate data in the CRM system regarding payment terms, pricing, products, delivery, and invoicing information. Support the finance team with invoice processing and payment follow-ups.
  • Logistics and operations coordination: Assist logistics operations to ensure on-time deliveries and meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets. Collaborate closely with couriers and forwarders to optimize transportation and distribution logistics.
  • Project Management and -contribution: Lead or contribute to supply chain- or cross-functional projects to improve the efficiency of the supply chain function and overall business. This could typically relate to our international expansion, growth or company infrastructure or -processes.
  • Customer and stakeholder engagement: Preserve and strengthen relationships with customers across more than 100 countries. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues.
  • Collaboration and leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, sales, and logistics, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Performance metrics: Establish and monitor supply chain performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance and initiatives to senior management.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance supply chain activities and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record in senior/leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP and tools.
