What you will need:

Minimum Education Level

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in biology or biochemistry or relevant science degree.

Minimum Certification Requirements

• Provides evidence of successful completion of EKG training within three months of position start date.

• Successful completion of Care Companion Course within three months of position start date when course is required by the department.

• Current CPR certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within three months of position start date.

Minimum Certification Preferred

• Successfully completes and provides evidence of Phlebotomy training

General Summary:

The Gap Year Patient Care Technician, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients.
