ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Buyer to support our Supply-Chain contracts in our Fairfield, NJ location.
This role is a remote hybrid position that will allow for some days remote and some in the office.
• Monitors and tracks customer initiatives and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Identifies strategic suppliers that align with customer Statement of Work (SOW) and objectives.
• Develop competitive sources for customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Maintains strategic supplier relationships.
• Acts as primary lead for supplier program activities; leading project review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and performance.
• Negotiates with suppliers to meet program metrics, operating budgets, and financial goals.
• Establishes milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Negotiates subcontract terms, prepares bids, processes specifications, progress, and other reports.
• Requires documenting supplier negotiations and providing strong written & verbal communications.
• Provides formal management updates to Program Manager and VP on internal & external progress related to supplier performance.
• Advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
• Some overnight travel may be necessary to meet with suppliers at an ASRC location, subcontractor’s facility or industry event as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years of relevant Government contract, procurement & project management experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. with the ability to pass a background check for access to the customer site, if needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Qualifications:
• Mandatory proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
• Prior experience with Government contracting; primarily Government Delivery Orders and Task Orders.
• Knowledge and proficiency of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR)
