SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Deliver product to Spring Glen Customers. Provide a sales rep type relationship with customers.  

Make DSD deliveries. Conform to DOT/State/Federal laws.  Maintains all equipment in good working condition.  Exhibit professional image at all times.

Back hauls plant supplies as scheduled.

Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as: GMP’S, food safety, product quality, food security, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.    Deliver product to customers.
2.    Make pick-ups of raw materials.
3.    Maintain schedules as determined by the Supply Chain Manager.
4.    Check all freight for accuracy and document at every step.
5.    All required paperwork must be done daily and must be neat and legible.
6.    Load and unload all freight.
7.    Maintain proper temperatures at all times on reefer units.
8.    Maintain DOT requirements as well as a safe driving record.
9.    Report condition of vehicle driven on proper forms
10.    Report proper mileage driven daily.
11.    Adhere to common safety practices and procedures.
12.    Must be willing and able to report to work on short notice as needed.
13.    Maintain image and assume responsibility as instructed and trained by the Supply Chain Manager.
14.    Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse and/or the Supply Chain Manager.
 

While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.).  Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
**Must maintain a Class A driver’s license.

•    Knowledge of product line/pricing specials and promotional periods.  
•    Sales knowledge. 
•    Knowledge of geographic distribution areas as assigned.
