The Nevada County Behavioral Health Department is excited to welcome a Behavioral Health Therapist to our Clinical Adult Therapy Team.

Examples of duties
What You’ll Do- Provide individual and group therapy using trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and evidence-based practices.
- Complete clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and documentation in alignment with Medi-Cal and county standards.
- Support clients experiencing a wide range of mental health needs, including co-occurring conditions, through ongoing therapy and care coordination.
- Partner with case managers, psychiatrists, crisis staff, hospitals, and community agencies to ensure clients receive the right care at the right time.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical consultations, and program development efforts that strengthen services for adults in our community.

Supplemental information
Education and Experience RequiredBehavioral Health Therapist I:
A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or from a school, college, or university that is approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, or meeting the educational requirement of 48 semester/trimester or 72 quarter units of master’s level coursework to accrue hours for Supervised Professional Experience (SPE), per the Board of Psychology.
