COMPENSATION:    $16.50/hour

THE ROLE

As a member of our Conversion Crew, you will be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and preparation for events at the venue. This is a seasonal, part-time position that will begin April/May 2025 and end September/October 2025.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met; these include, but are not limited to, loading/unloading trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area, and replenishing supplies.

  • Setting up and tearing down portable chairs, removable seats, bike racks, other furnishings, and equipment.

  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, etc.

  • Assist with custodial duties and post-show cleaning when required.

  • Operate equipment such as, but not limited to, vacuum cleaner, trash compactor, floor scrubber, leaf blower, and golf carts. 

  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety concerns, damage concerns, or loss of property promptly.

  • Maintain predictable and reliable attendance.

  • Monitor assigned work area to keep the venue clean and presentable.

  • Adhere to the dress code and present yourself in a friendly and approachable manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED,

  • At least six months’ related work experience, or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.

  • The ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.

  • High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive situations.

  • Some knowledge of radio communication.

  • Ability to make professional, independent, and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.

  • Tolerant to work under adverse outdoor conditions including extreme heat or cold and exposure to heavy dust, dirt, and cleaning agent odors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to use hands/fingers to grasp or feel.

  • Ability to talk clearly and concisely with guests and team members.

  • Ability to hear guests and team members.

  • This position requires walking, lifting, climbing stairs, and carrying 50+ lbs.
