Position Summary:

This requisition is for (1) position, in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education. 

• Course dates are August 28, 2024 to December 4, 2024.

• Effective dates of appointment are September 9, 2024 to December 20, 2024.

Posting Timeline (2 working days): August 28, 2024 to August 30, 2024 (inclusive)

Application Deadline: August 30, 2024 (11:59PM)

Responsibilities may include:

• Marking and grading

• Preparing course materials

• Assisting students' learning

• Leading discussions

• Project supervision

• Providing feedback to students on presentations and/or course work.

• Attending classes (Thursdays: 5:35PM to 8:25PM)

Qualifications:

• PHD or MA student in Education preferred.

• Experience designing a research project a requirement.

• Experience writing a literature review a requirement.

• Experience developing a variety of research products such as program evaluations, policy recommendations, or curriculum resources an asset.

• Experience conducting research using a variety of methodologies an asset.

• Experience teaching in elementary or secondary schools an asset.

• DISE students will be given priority.

As per collective agreement 2.11 A teaching assistant is a Graduate student at the Master’s or Doctoral level employed to assist a Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant or Demonstrator.
