About the role
Assist the LEM manager by providing support to faculty, staff and students with sheet music and music education resource needs. This is a front-office position with a high emphasis on delivering excellent customer service to our patrons. All student-staff in this position will use FileMaker Pro, a database program, and Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook and Word.
Pay rate: $16/hr

Required Qualifications:
- Candidates must be friendly, service-oriented, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills.
- Candidates must be able to read music.
- Candidates must be dependable, flexible, responsible; a self-starter with the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
- Candidates need to be available to work a minimum of 5 hours per week in the morning or afternoon.
- Knowledge of Mac desktop computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat is helpful but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assign, distribute and collect music from ensemble members and individuals.
- Mark parts according to directions from LEM Manager and conductors including bowings, cuts, errata corrections, and performance markings.
- Organize and file returned music to shelves.
- Maintain order of the collection in the LEM.
- Catalog new music materials following office procedures.
- Operate a Mac computer, using FileMaker Pro and other programs.
- Operate basic office machinery and answer phones.
- Work on various projects as directed by the manager.
