Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks a part-time Postdoc Research Associate, to complete analysis involving machine learning and other advanced mathematical concepts. Work will involve differential equations, linear algebra, stochastic analysis, optimization, and controls, for dynamic sensor calibration, optimized energy-harvesting, and feedback controls. The postdoctoral scholar will also develop new proposals to the National Science Foundation (NSF) in an effort to support the extension of the appointment in subsequent years.
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), fixed term position, with expectation for renewal based on availability of funding. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in an Engineering discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using advanced mathematical concepts in engineering problem solving.
• Prior works that demonstrate advanced mathematical concepts in Deep Learning, Partial Differential Equations, Numerical Methods, Nonlinear Control.
