Senior GO Software Engineer

At Sofico, we build the Miles Enterprise Suite, software that supports mid- and back-office processes for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. As we continue to scale our cloud-first and microservices-driven platform, we are looking for a Senior Go Engineer. 
As a Senior Go Engineer, you will build and operate high-throughput services that consume PostgreSQL WAL (CDC), apply transformations, and stream data Postgres to Postgres reliably at scale. This role is highly performance focused: low latency, high throughput, predictable resource usage, and operational robustness. You will work closely with product teams and platform engineers to deliver streaming capabilities that are aligned with domain boundaries and production grade standards. 

 

Your Profile

 

• Design, build, and maintain Go microservices that consume PostgreSQL WAL (logical decoding/CDC) and replicate/transform data into downstream PostgreSQL targets. 

• Implement robust transformation pipelines (validation, enrichment, normalization, mapping) with strong guarantees around ordering, idempotency, and consistency. 

• Own performance engineering end-to-end: profiling, benchmarking, backpressure, batching strategies, memory/GC optimization, and efficient I/O patterns. 

• Ensure production-grade reliability standards and deployment setups. 

• Build for operability in a Kubernetes environment using a GitOps approach (IaC). 

• Setup CI/CD and release processes for Go microservices. 

• Document decisions (ADRs) and coach teams on best practices. 

Your skills and experience 

• Strong production experience in Go, including designing and operating services under real-world load. 

• Deep understanding of concurrency, and performance trade-offs in Go. 

• Proven experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems with measurable performance outcomes. 

• Solid PostgreSQL knowledge, ideally including logical replication concepts (WAL, replication slots, decoding, LSN handling) and operational considerations. 

• Experience running microservices on Kubernetes is a plus. 

• Strong engineering discipline on testing strategies and safe production rollouts. 

• Clear communicator who can explain trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
