Security and Fire Hazard Officer - Temporary

We are seeking a Security and Fire Hazard Officer to ensure the safety and security of our skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include monitoring the premises, conducting regular safety and fire hazard inspections, addressing security incidents, and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. The ideal candidate has experience in security or safety roles, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.  The primary responsibility of a security officer is to perform support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. You will maintain vigilance to prevent fires from starting and act swiftly in case of emergencies. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Salary Depending on experience, $20 hourly

Position is Temporary - Seeking both Day and Overnight Shifts

• Monitoring: Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent fire hazards.
• Reporting: Immediately report unsafe conditions, fires, or emergencies to appropriate personnel.
• Equipment: Maintain fire watch equipment in good condition and use it as instructed.
• Safety: Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with fire prevention policies.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors regarding fire risks and safety concerns.

Education 

• High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or security training preferred.

Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of fire safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to remain alert and vigilant during assigned shifts

Physical Requirements:

• • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment as necessary.
  • Agility to navigate various work environments safely.
