Supplier Compliance Program Director

The Supplier Compliance Program Director will supervise all aspects of organizational activities related to Global supplier credentialing and lead the development and enhancement of internal procedures, including implementing technology and workflow, to achieve a streamlined and modern risk assessment methodology. This role will help implement, monitor, and enhance our third-party risk and compliance program. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures associated with these functions and ensuring that team members (users) are adequately trained and able to effectively perform their required tasks associated with these functions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively support the Supplier Compliance program globally across Greystar. Monitor third-party supplier controls and ongoing compliance with Greystar’s Compliance Program requirements.
• Act as a primary resource for the management of the Supplier Compliance Program as a Subject Matter Expert in Third Party Risk Management, engaging with functional leads and business partners
• Elaborate, communicate, educate, and enforce a common and consistent approach to supplier risk management within business units
• Develop and update Greystar’s policies, standards, and processes for the supplier compliance program overall
• Ensure that all critical supplier processes are established and under control through the use of capability analysis, risk management, and monitoring systems
• Establish a robust system for non-conformance and resolution with an emphasis on closed-loop root cause and corrective actions
• Undertake ongoing monitoring of suppliers to safeguard against reputational, financial & fraud-related risks
• Manage all maintenance, enhancement or updates to processes, tools, or supplier management relationship, including supplier tracking, analytics and supplier performance management. Develop communications for internal circulation regarding supplier process enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to develop criteria and best practices for supplier selection.
• Enforce and ensure first-line-of-defense implementation of policies and standards by setting testing standards, reviewing testing results, and providing subject matter expertise and guidance in order to resolve gaps.
• Serve as a point of contact for addressing supplier management compliance issues spanning multiple lines of business, addressing lessons learned and looking at best practices opportunities.
• Serve as a point of escalation for supplier issues and disputes and drive those issues to resolution.
• Develop, implement, and manage reporting of metrics and Service Level Agreements that effectively measure team and supplier performance in line with the needs of the business.
• Oversee licensing and regulatory requirements. Monitor for applicable industry guidance, enforcement activity, and regulatory updates.
• Perform and document an annual third-party supplier risk assessment and annual work plan.
• Write articles and develop training materials associated with the Greystar Supplier Compliance Program and associated activities.
• Assess the adequacy of Greystar’s Supplier Management, Operational, and IT Security third-party supplier controls.
• Establish close working relationships with key business and corporate partners, including outsourcing management, resiliency, compliance, information security, privacy, legal, internal audit and line-of-business supplier management leads.
• Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ years' relevant professional experience, including direct involvement with supplier risk or enterprise compliance/risk process, or program development
• 5 -8 years’ experience in Compliance leadership roles
• Thorough knowledge of Compliance Management systems, statistical analysis, and establishing a supplier compliance program
• Global Compliance experience required
• Fluency in two or more languages preferred
• Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with the ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large and diverse audiences
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• Able to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities
