About the role

Rimkus is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Transportation Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert consulting services in transportation engineering and planning to support various projects including forensic investigations, construction disputes, and traffic impact assessments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transportation analysis, data collection, modeling, and reporting, and will contribute to delivering high-quality technical reports and expert testimony when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct transportation engineering and planning analyses for forensic and consulting projects.
  • Perform traffic impact studies, accident reconstruction analysis, and transportation data collection.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and provide expert opinions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex investigations related to transportation infrastructure.
  • Present findings and expert testimony in legal and dispute resolution settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation consulting, planning, or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation modeling software, traffic simulation, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in forensic investigations or expert testimony is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
