Summary of Job Duties:

This position will assist the Director of the Office of Innovation in developing, promoting, and completing research projects. This person will use statewide longitudinal education data to analyze factors that inform a comprehensive and coherent statewide education plan. The position will also use statewide and other data to accomplish the following tasks, among other research and development tasks as assigned. This person will be expected to identify patterns and trends in student performance and growth, investigate relationships among factors that directly and/or indirectly impact student academic outcomes, differentiate among various challenges or needs within the state and local systems, and use data about student growth to support effective teaching and improve overall teacher effectiveness. This person will work collaboratively with the Director and external stakeholders to synthesize findings from evidence-based research and statewide data analytics to build local and state capacity to serve differentiated needs with aligned, evidence-based resources. He/she will also be expected to contribute to research and data collection design to accomplish the research agenda of the Office.
