POSITION SUMMARY
Since 1969, our factory has been a cornerstone just eight miles west of Harrisburg. Situated at a transportation crossroads, it offers quick access to major cities like Baltimore, Boston, and New York. As one of the largest manufacturers in the area, we produce a wide range of dry pet food, including beloved brands like Puppy Chow®, Pro Plan®, and Friskies®. Beyond our work, we support local animal shelters, enriching the lives of pets everywhere. We’re also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Sr. Factory Quality Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality standards in the development of cat and dog food product. The main responsibility is to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and specifications. This employee will serve as a backup for the formulation specialist and ingredient specialist. Quality and safety are the promises we make on every bag, container, tub, and can – and we continue to deliver on that promise.
- Responsible for assuring compliance to NPPC regulatory guidelines and specifications
- Serves as a back-up for the formulation program to meet NPPC operating standards
- Serves as a backup for the ingredient receiving program
- Assure plant compliance to established standards
- Develop and deliver quality assurance related training to employees with support of the department
- Use established procedures to perform laboratory activities to include analytical testing and sensory evaluation
- Perform job duties with highest regard for safety
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $51,000.00 to $71,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
