Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Intern will support the TA team in identifying, attracting, and engaging top talent for RailPros. This role provides hands on experience across key areas of the hiring process, including sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, maintaining recruiting data, and supporting employer branding initiatives.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Support full-cycle recruiting for rail and engineering roles, aligned with RailPros’ vision of helping to keep North America moving
Assist with job postings and source candidates via platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed and Handshake
Coordinate interviews and maintain a positive, people first candidate experience
Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS and internal trackers
Support employer branding and recruiting events, including career fairs and internship initiatives
Route inquiries and requests through Jira to ensure timely follow up
Conduct research to build pipelines for rail, engineering, and transportation talent
Assist with process improvements and other duties as needed to support team and business goals
Learn best practices in recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, and diversity hiring efforts
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational values
Uphold the organization’s standards of integrity, accountability, and respect in all duties and interactions
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulation
Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs

QualificationsKnowledge Skills and Abilities:


Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills, with a willingness to learn how to engage with candidates and team members professionally
Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast paced environment
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with systems such as Paycom is a plus
Interest in Talent Acquisition, with a desire to learn recruiting processes and best practices


 

Required Education and Experience:


Office experience preferred
High school diploma
Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship


Preferred Education and Experience


Completed or working toward Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related degree (will consider equivalent work experience)
