About the role

The Manager, Conferences Associate Engagement & Development will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a centralized onboarding and training program for conference operations associates.  This comprehensive program will include a resource center for new associates and hiring managers to provide a consistent experience throughout an individual’s onboarding process.  This resource center will provide robust supporting tools and templates to hiring managers to aide them in the onboarding process. In addition to the onboarding resource center, the Manager will be responsible for leading various in-person experiences that support the new hire journey.  The Manager will also be responsible for designing and maintaining a continuing education program for associates throughout their careers at Gartner.  These onboarding and training  programs will require this manager to partner with stakeholders across various teams at Gartner to deliver these programs effectively.  Building trusted partnerships and a strong executive presence will be key for success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities & Expected Results:

  • Create a globally consistent onboarding program for new associates and hiring managers, including the creation of a resource center to help provide streamlined resources and support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify and scale proven best practices for onboarding.
  • Develop a comprehensive training program including various multimedia resources to train conference associates on conferences business, process change management, and onsite conference readiness.
  • Create and roll out a continuing education program to support cross-functional continuing education for conferences team.
  • Build trusted partnerships with team members and leaders across the organization.
  • Measure and communicate the success of programs through evaluations, verbatims, and leadership feedback.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-performance environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development, Recruiting, Project Management, Consulting, or Administration.  
  • Conference or event experience preferred.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with proven ability to build partnerships across lines of businesses.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak/write clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, implement and manage change and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills to deliver programs and strategies that effectively address business needs.
  • Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and plan work activities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Consistent demonstration of integrity, collaboration, no-limits mindset, objectivity, and delivering results.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Curious and inquisitive with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
