Admissions Coordinator Behavioral Health Crisis Center

Takes phone calls from customers seeking services and schedules for appropriate placement using the single point of entry process. Completes insurance preauthorization as required.

Education – Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience – Previous healthcare experience, including patient intake and general office administrative duties preferred

Licensure/Certification – N/A

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Basic to intermediate computer skills required.  Must be able to establish priorities. Ability to relate well to a variety of people and situations. Ability to organize and priorities work, communicate clearly, and respond to frequent interruptions.  Ability to use discretion and tact in handling the public, both in person and over the telephone.  Ability to relate therapeutically to people in crisis. Readily accepts feedback from others.  Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
