Boeing Test and Evaluation is seeking a Field and Ramp Compliance Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the Flight Test Maintenance Team through complex projects, with a focus on quality, safety, compliance, innovation and efficiency. In this role, the candidate will be expected to: collaborate with stakeholders, to include senior leaders, analyze and report Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS) data, trends, and activity, lead quality improvements, Lean, 5s projects, and coach all levels on QMS, SMS and other Quality Program performance, and trends. Manage professionals that provide data, status, and updates for conformance and compliance projects to drive successful business decisions improving quality, and facilitating continuous improvement within the Flight Test Maintenance Value Stream.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Partner with leaders on long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives, and initiatives
- Provides education and coaching on QMS and SMS
- Serve as the organizations focal for multiple compliance items including, but not limited to:
- QMS and SMS
- Stall, ramp and hangar: compliance, 5s, and process improvement
- Repair Station Compliance
- Training and Certification
- Tool Control
- Engine Run Certification
- Aircraft Deice
- Leverage SMS to help us build, operate, support, and maintain the safest possible products and services.
- Prepares and maintains directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
- Works under general direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working in a FAA Repair Station environment
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- 3+ many years of experience developing presentations for leadership
- 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
- 3 years of experience in collecting and analyzing data and generating metrics reports
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- 3+ years of experience in Project Management activities
- 3+ years of experience working with Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM)
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
