FLEX Senior Software Engineer

This is a temporary position.   

We are seeking an outstanding engineering talent with the experience to lead the design, solutioning and delivery of large-scale enterprise Cloud-Native applications. The candidate should be product focused and deeply passionate about solving complex problems. 

 

Candidate must have the ability to communicate upward to superiors and laterally to other departments, keeping the organization at large in sync and making sure that their team continues to deliver results. Demonstrated the ability to monitor multiple projects to successful completion, maintaining scope within the time and budget constraints. Capable of creating solutions that serve the business needs by leveraging leading edge technologies in an innovative and impactful manner.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

Education and Experience

 

Required:.

• 10+ years’ experience in Software Architecture, Design & Development.

• 4+ years’ experience in leading Software Dev teams and implementing enterprise application packages in distributed environments

• Undergraduate degree, equivalent experience, or certification

• Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot3, Kafka, AWS EKS, MongoDB, Redis

• In-depth knowledge of Integration patterns and architectures

• Clean Code & SOLID Principles

• Experience with technologies – Java, NoSQL, Spring boot, WebFlux, Kafka, Docker & K8s

• Experience & understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing

• Experience with Jira and Confluence

• Experience performing Functional Tests with tools like Postman.

• Experience with REST API’s, Java Microservices, Spring Boot, Unit Tests & BDD

• Strong understanding of API platforms, back-end services, database and networking components of full stack infrastructure

Preferred:

• Experience with defining API gateway roadmap and with automated API provisioning.

• Experience with Java 21, Virtual Threads, Spring Boot3x, Kafka, AWS EKS, MongoDB, Redis, GraalVM

• Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design, Cloud-Native Design Patterns, Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, Reactive Systems, Actors, Service Orchestration and Choreography

• Experience & understanding of DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes Patterns, Istio Service Mesh & OPA

• Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives/transformations.

• Proven management experience in strategic planning and budgeting within one or more business groups

• Proven knowledge of SDLC

• Proven knowledge of Agile methodology; preferably SAFe

• Experience with Actor frameworks & GraphQL

• Active contributions to OSS projects

• Relevant technology certifications

• Experience in full stack development

• Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of action

• Ability to understand and communicate the lifecycle of technologies and applications and to translate into business strategies for the client organizations.

• Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to both Product owners in a business-friendly manner and to Enterprise Architects in most technical detail

• Excellent knowledge of working with dynamic data using services (e.g., JSON, XML, REST APIs etc)

• Experience & expertise with microservices architectures, Service Mesh (e.g. Istio), Service discovery, rate limiting, config management etc.

• Experience/ understanding of GraphQL

• Strong experience a
