Secure Access Service Edge Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Lead to support a federal client. The SASE Lead be responsible for supporting the network operations, infrastructure engineering, and architecture support, focusing on delivering secure and efficient network solutions. The SASE Lead will play a crucial role in engineering, implementing, and managing modern SASE solutions while ensuring robust network security and performance. This position requires a deep understanding of network engineering and operations, endpoint management, certificate and key management, and an aptitude for working in both independent and team settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures utilizing layer 3 routing protocols, including EIGRP and BGP.
• Oversee the configuration and management of Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions, including IPSec and SSL VPNs.
• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Lead the engineering and deployment of modern SASE solutions to enhance network security and access control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SASE technologies with existing network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and engineering diagrams.
• Implement best practices for endpoint management and security.
• Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality network solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7 Years of relevant experience
• 3 Years of experience with zero trust principles and their application to securing a networked environment
• 3 Years of experience with direct support experience with 1 or more modern SASE solution
• 3 Years of experience with Virtual Private Network technologies
• 3 Years of experience working within Microsoft Azure and/or other comparable cloud service provider's network environments
• 3 Years of experience with generalized network services, including layer 3 routing (EIGRP, BGP) and VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).
• Certifications: AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AZ-700 Designing and Implementing Azure Networking, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Preferred Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Demonstrable history of leading successful deployments of enterprise-class solutions.
• Strong project lead and management experience, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed technical documents and engineering diagrams.
• Experience with endpoint management and security best practices.
• Familiarity with certificate and key management processes and tools.
