Software Test Engineer

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Software Test Engineer to work for its team out of our Anoka, Minnesota office. This position is responsible for working with the business stakeholders, business analysts, project managers and development teams to identify the required tests, test scenarios and test plans ensuring these cover all the business requirements and meet the defined project timelines. 
 

Job responsibilities will include:
•    Perform, monitor, and report Test Execution progress and the overall quality experience of the target test system to Stakeholders. 
•    Co-ordinates test execution activity within the test team to ensure that execution progress meets the required timelines.
•    Work with project team, business, and product management to design, develop, review and execute test plan & strategy.
•    Create, execute, maintain & optimize automated test scripts.
•    Define strategies, processes, best practices & methodologies using various testing techniques & tools to bring efficiency in testing. 
•    Collaborate with Agile team and provide input for product backlog, sprint planning, development, demo, and retrospective governing agile principles.
 

Required:
•    Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Systems Testing area
OR
•    High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Systems Testing area.
AND
•    Application testing experience across various hardware platforms and operating systems

 

Preferred:
•    3+ years of experience in software automation testing, with 2+ years of experience in Selenium/SOAP UI automation or 1+ years of extensive experience in API/Web Services Testing
Or
•    Hands-on experience in Java/C# programming
Or 
•    Hands-on experience in Object Oriented programming – class structure, code re-use, abstract thinking/Page object model
