Desktop Engineer

 

 

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking to welcome a Desktop Engineer to our Houston Office Information Technology team.  The End User Desktop Engineer provides front-line support for end-users on a variety of desktop operating systems, applications, and peripherals. This role is responsible for resolving technical issues, installing and configuring software and hardware, and ensuring the smooth operation of end-user computing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Support Microsoft Windows and Apple devices.
• Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in person.
• Office 365 administration (Desktop Apps, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange)
• Support conference room Audio Visual Equipment (AV)
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Perform software updates and patches.
• Assist in the deployment and support of new technologies and services.
• Document technical issues and resolutions in a knowledge base.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Computer or Information Sciences
• Strong customer service orientation.
• 1+ years’ experience supporting Apple user environments
• 4+ years’ experience supporting Windows user environments
• Good communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Enjoy working with end users and solving desktop issues.
• Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) and/or Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT) a plus
