Essential Functions:
- Lead and execute design analysis and evaluation of assigned engine components to ensure their operational life and substantiate the define repairability limits.
- Serve as mentor to newly formed component repair engineers as process and procedures are developed.
- Provide oversight and direction for the creation of component CAD models, drawings, and specifications for gas turbine components.
- Develop and propose new repair procedures and inspection methods.
- Lead the repair process qualifications in coordination with AM&RT and work with engineering partners to support repair standardization and industrialization.
- Act as the technical focal point for the disposition of component repair Departure Records (DRs) related to your assigned components.
- Lead and chair technical reviews as part of the tollgate design processes.
- Recommend approaches to meet technical and program requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks in line with engineering policies and procedures.
- Support engineering and business partners to ensure that newly developed repair processes, procedures, limits, etc. are properly incorporated into appropriate shop, vendor, and engineering manuals & documents.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Significant relevant experience in gas turbine or equivalent component repair process and practices.
- Fluent in English.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with inspection technologies, including FPI, X-Ray, and Eddy Current.
- Experience with repair special processes, including welding, brazing, thermal spray, heat treat, machining, blending, coating, and surface treatments.
- Strong technical aptitude related to components and systems of increasing complexity.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative team skills. Ability to connect effectively with a broad group of stakeholders.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Gas turbine design knowledge/background.
Work Environment:
- The role involves significant interaction with global teams and may require travel up to 20% to internal and external repair vendor sites.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $111,200.00 - 185,400.00 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
