The Division of Eligibility and Marketplace Integration (DEMI) is responsible for eligibility and enrollment policy and operations for Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Essential Plan, and tax credits for qualified health plans. It is also responsible for disability determinations related to Medicaid eligibility and third-party coverage claims, liens and recoveries. The Division oversees a robust Customer Service Center that assists consumers in obtaining coverage, as well as thousands of community-based assistors who provide in-person assistance.

The Division has bureaus in Albany, Buffalo, and New York City, and conducts functions related to eligibility policy; providing support for consumers enrolling through New York State of Health (NYSoH; ensuring that policy-correct eligibility determinations, enrollment transactions, and legally required notices are generated for consumers through NYSoH; conducting reviews to ensure eligibility determinations are made in accordance with Federal and State rules and regulations; and oversight of the Navigator and Certified Application Counselor programs, including the provision of training to approximately 6,000 assistors.

Description

These positions will work in the Division of Eligibility and Marketplace Integration, Bureau of Downstate Eligibility Systems. The auditors will work on tasks related to data entry and data verification. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Enter and retrieve information from computerized systems
  • Examine and analyze information from computerized systems to detect errors for correction
  • · Provide additional support as needed, including scanning documents, verifying accuracy of data from scanned documents and other tasks as assigned.

    The candidates must have strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight timeframes; excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Candidates should also have experience using Microsoft office products and electronic data systems.

    Requirements

    Preferred Skills:

    · Experience inputting data from various sources into computer/system for processing and management

    · Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams and Webex

    · Communication skills: Able to successfully interact with staff at all levels of an organization.

    · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office setting
