Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an Off-site Food Production Planner for The Pass located in Long Island, New York

Come be a part of Sodexo's exciting new business model of offsite production.  As part of the onsite team, this team member will be responsible for production planning and purchasing to ensure our customers get the highest quality products while working within Sodexo programs.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the detailed food production scheduling, inventory management and the control of finished goods inventory levels at our 13,000 square foot food production facility. Responsible for ingredient ordering, inventory controls, production planning and scheduling through projection of customer demand based on prior volume and incoming orders.
  • Production planning- responsible for creating the daily and weekly production plan for the facility through projection of customer demand based on prior volume and site orders. Schedules labor and equipment to the production plan to maximize efficiency. Responsible for labor, equipment, and ingredient capacity planning requirements to ensure the execution of the detailed production schedule and for initiating any related corrective actions.  Continually monitor reports to maintain alignment of supply and demand of material.
  • Supply planning- responsible for inventory management, including proper ordering and receiving of ingredients, weekly inventory controls.
  • Responsible for timely resolution of real-time production planning issues in consultation with onsite and corporate functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations. Incorporates new menu item integration into existing supply and demand plans.
  • Communicates with vendors and corporate supply chain to identify issues, find resolution and incorporate any changes to production plan.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of supply chain and/or production planning experience in a manufacturing setting or related field
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Good communication skills 
  • Culinary experience is preferred, not required

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:  Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience: 3 years of supply chain and/or production planning experience in a manufacturing setting or related field

Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years of related experience
