Loader/ Unloader Operator:

Summary 

This position requires the loading and unloading of product into and out of trailers operating a forklift. Other duties include correctly checking in loads and breaking down product to properly fit into trailers. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are involved.  Must be willing to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry 90 pounds or more in a 12-hour shift. Must be willing to work in a freezer/ cooler environment. Must be able to tolerate working in freezer (-5 degrees F.) up to 12 hours per day doing continuous physical labor in a cold, humid environment. Other duties assigned by management.

Notice: This position involves operating a forklift for gathering cases of beef/pork product throughout a refrigerated warehouse with temperatures ranging from -10° to 30°F.

Qualifications:

• Must have 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience through a single employer in the last 5 years.

• Cold storage experience preferred.

• Must be willing to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 70lbs cases and occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 90lbs cases.

• Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. 

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.  

• May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.  

• May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.

• Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening. 

Starting pay rate:

• $23.00/hr

• Candidates may be eligible for Attendance incentive and/or Shift premium, depending on shift placement.

Currently hiring for: B shift:

**Shift availability is determined by the business need at the time of offer**

B shift: (Will receive 0.50 cents/hr for Shift premium)

• Sunday - Tuesday; 6pm to 6am

• Wednesday; 6pm to 12:15am
