Job Description

As a Security Guard - Medical Clinic in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy healthcare location. You will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist with access control and visitor guidance, and communicate clearly with staff and patients. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and contribute to a caring, people-first culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovative, reliable service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Control access points by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in and waiting areas according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
