About the job:

The candidate will join the Corporate Lending France team, based in Paris, which is responsible for the marketing, structuring and execution of loan transactions with BBVA’s corporate and financial institution clients in France (across large and small/midcap segments).

The candidate’s primary role will be to support the team head throughout the marketing, origination and executionprocesses for syndicated and bilateral loans, including acquisition and sustainable financing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on clients’ business activities, creditworthiness and financial strategies, analyzing their financial performance, market trends, and recent transactions.

• Maintain and update databases on comparable deals and relevant loan market activity.

• Promote corporate lending products such as syndicated loans, club loans, bilateral loans, sustainable loans and acquisition financing.

• Prepare proposals for business and credit committees.

• Assist with structuring and delivering tailored lending solutions, preparing corporate lending proposals, pitch books, and other marketing materials to win mandates.

• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., relationship managers, risk, legal, compliance, tax, sustainable finance. DCM, debt and rating advisory, market and administrative teams) and external stakeholders (e.g.,clients, banks, and legal counsel) to ensure smooth execution and proper booking of transactions.

• Draft legal documents such as term sheets and mandate letters, and review facility agreements, fee lettersand legal opinion.

• Oversee the closing of transactions including signing and booking processes.

• Prepare management presentations and activity reports.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in loan origination, relationship management, and/orcredit risk management.

• Previous experiences in loan products is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Language

• Native French speaker.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Spanish is a significant plus.

Other Skills

• Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to interpret financial statements (balance sheet, income and cash flow statements).

• Self-motivated with a structured approach and the ability to synthesize information effectively.

• Attention to detail when preparing documents, reports, or updating internal databases.
